May is always an exciting month at the Fashion Place, where we are on the countdown to our annual fashion show, a golden celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Aberdeen Business School. We’re also eagerly awaiting the arrival of our fashion magazine which will be hot off the press in the next couple of weeks… Much excitement!

It’s been a sunny (albeit quiet) week at the Fashion Place where our students have been enjoying their Spring break. Here’s a Friday flashback to April 2014 where our first year students were counting down to their fashion exhibition and our fourth years to their dissertation hand-in later this month (which is exactly what this year’s students are doing too)!

It’s March (already) and here’s our monthly throwback to this time last year when our first year fashion management students were creating commonwealth themed window displays to celebrate Glasgow 2014! This year’s theme… the fiftieth anniversary of Aberdeen Business School (of course)! Watch this space…
Today marks the first working day in February, the first day of semester two, and our undergraduate students’ first day on placement. We’re looking back at this time last year with our monthly Annus Moris flashback!

Here’s a flashback to this time last year at the Fashion Place! Today we’re at the Clothes Show Live with our first years!
Our fourth years are preparing to hand in work for this year’s fashion project! Last year students were tasked to shoot a look book for the Burberry trench and this year have been given a collection of items from McCalls Aberdeen. We’re looking forward to seeing the results!

It’s our first day back on Fashion Avenue after the Christmas break and we’d like to wish our followers a Happy New Year!

The countdown to Christmas is on and we’re looking back to this time last year at the Fashion Place, where our very own Morven MacSween was the star of Debenhams’ Christmas advert; remember that red coat?
Tomorrow we’re attending the Clothes Show Live with our first years; we’ve been tuning in to the coverage on Twitter and can’t wait to be there! We hope the students enjoy it as much as they did last year!
We’re feeling nostalgic again so here’s a little flashback to November 2012 at the Fashion Place.
It was a busy month where we saw our stage 2 students complete their photoshoots for the magazine project and our first years launch their “Charity Chic” fashion exhibition. This year the students are busy with the photoshoots once again so watch this space…
The fashion exhibition will take place in April this year and we can’t wait! It’s set to be a big project which will involve Fashion Management, PR and Events Management students at Aberdeen Business School. We’ll update you with more information about this in the new year!

Here’s our October Annus Moris flashback. This time last year we were preparing for our first year students’ annual colour exhibition and welcoming Fiona Blunsdon to our team!
We also had our annual guest lecture from Aberdeen College’s fashion photographer Steve Smith. We’re looking forward to Steve’s lecture in a couple of weeks and look out for this year’s colour exhibition later this month! Lots more photos to follow…
