World of Colour – fashion show photos

Our World of Colour fashion show photos are available on the Fashion Place Pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/fashplace.

Follow us to see behind the scenes photos from the show, fashion favourites from each walk and our fashion avenue retail experience.

Our photography is an assortment of images from Megan Robertson (Peg’s Pics), Martin Parker from the Gatehouse Print and Design team at RGU and of course our fabulous students and staff at the Fashion Place.

World of Colour Fashion Show

Our World of Colour fashion show has been and gone and was a huge success! Our stage 3 Fashion Management students raised a grand total of £8,826 for MND Scotland! Here’s a short documentary which the students put together and showed on the night. Lots of photos to follow!

3 Weeks to World of Colour…

3 Weeks to World of Colour...

With less than 3 weeks until the World of Colour fashion show, our students are busy fundraising for MND Scotland. Last week the students took part in a sponsored cycle at RGU: Sport where they raised £180 and cycled 180 miles – £1 per mile (which could take them from Milan to Venice)!

Yesterday the students raised over £230 selling vintage treasures at a car boot sale in Errol!

Watch out for them in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord & St Nicholas this weekend, where they’ll be in the centre all day Saturday – running competitions, painting faces and selling tickets for the World of Colour fashion show!

Countdown to the World of Colour

Fashion Show Tickets are Here

With only four weeks until the show, the World of Colour countdown is on!

Our (student designed) tickets are here and you can email worldofcolour@outlook.com to get yours today.

The show starts at 7pm and will take place in the atrium of Aberdeen Business School. We’ll be showcasing the latest fashions from the Aberdeen Bon Accord & St Nicholas Centre (so guests on the night can “see it today and buy it tomorrow”).

The show will feature walks which represent the world’s fashion capitals (London, Paris, Milan, New York and Tokyo) and there will be “between walk” entertainment.

We’re hosting a raffle on the night (with some fabulous prizes to be won) and a “fashion avenue” retail experience where a number of boutiques will be selling a range of products – from accessories to sweeties.

As a World of Colour guest, you will receive a welcome drink upon arrival and there will be great food and cocktails which are available throughout the evening. You’ll also get a World of Colour goody bag to take home.

All proceeds from the show will go to MND Scotland and we’ll announce the grand total of funds raised at the end of the night.

We hope to see you there!

World of Colour Window

World of Colour Window

Our third years have spent this morning designing paper dresses for a World of Colour window display at the Fashion Place.

The dresses represent the world’s fashion capitals (London, Paris, Milan, New York and Tokyo) and we also have two special dresses which the students designed – one for MND Scotland and another to represent the world of colour logo and theme overall.

Can you match the paper dresses to their fashion capitals?
